AKON has crossed significant technical milestones in the Tuner product line. Tuners (Up/Down Converters) are integral part of modern EW systems. Some of the modern EW systems need to process wideband Input signals and detect presence of RF Spectrum very quickly to discern the RF Spectrum and down convert to IF for Digital signal processing. The Down converted IF is up converted and transmitted back in real time, in accordance with the EW system needs.

The modern EW systems needs to be compact and highly reliable and self-contained for their functionality, AKON’s latest tuner family has built-in LO Generation, Down Conversion, Up Conversion and multiple channels of activity detection.

AKON’s latest Tuner family can take wide RF Input in various bands like 0.5 - 2, 2 - 6, 6 - 18 and 8 - 18 and further customization is available based on the system requirements.
