AKON, Inc. announces the development of a line of millimeter band frequency converters.  Available in both wideband block configuration or narrowband tunable configuration.  Frequency coverage, depending on model, can be between 40 and 51.5 GHz.  Downconverters feature low noise amplification and good image and spurious rejection.  Upconverters can provide up to +20 dBm power output as well as low spurious.  All converters are available with optional very low phase noise local oscillator assemblies.  Conversion gain is typically adjustable over a 30-dB range.  Operational dynamic range, depending on bandwidth, can be 60 dB or better.  Units can be packaged in ruggedized housings for military applications or in more open housings for laboratory use.  Array configurations are available where a bank of several converters are operating in parallel, all fed by a common local oscillator.  Contact AKON for more information and for a quotation.
